He tried to trick me many times
and I admit, he succeeded too, at tricking

A woman, who is thin and not young
Who has a cloth on her head
Which is like a shield over her face

With a rope the woman leads a calf

Sometimes the calf walks behind her very obediently
And sometimes it doesn’t
The woman pulls the calf by the rope
It lowers its head and shakes it and braces its legs
But its legs are weak, and the rope doesn’t break
The rope doesn’t break.

The Girl

|
One morning the girl finds she has travelled mysteriously back many years in the past
There, the teachers and students call her "Clare"
The girl and Clare change places each night, they never meet
They only communicate through diary notes in an exercise book.
As time flows, the girl becomes trapped in Clare's time
Struggling to maintain her own identity
Another girl recalls her dream of seeing Clare whilst in the sickroom
And eventually the girl is able to sleep in the bed that will return her to her own time.

Suffering beyond belief
